Here is the second webinar of our CATIA TV program. In this episode, Paul Mackin explains how you can continue designing in CATIA V5, and yet get your data even more valuable by making it directly usable by non-CAD users. In this new world of collaboration, everyone can explore, visualize and collaborate online using mobile browser-based app, while preserving your investment in CATIA V5.
Of course, you can also extend your CATIA V5 capabilities by supplementing existing processes with powerful new roles available on the 3DExperience Platform.
Watch the replay in the below recording of this YouTube webinar which took place on Wednesday, March 20th. And do not hesitate to share this link with your interested colleagues!
Here are some questions asked by attendees:
- Q1: Since V5 is file based and 3DEXPERIENCE is server-based, how does the save work?
A: The V5 data is also saved on the 3DEXPERIENCE servers. You can see this in the second demo (at 14mn35s in the video)
- Q2: How does 3DEXPERIENCE deals with huge assemblies, let's say an aircraft?
A: As another attendee suggested, Boeing is a good example of an usage of large assemblies. You can find many other Aerospace & Defense companies using 3DEXPERIENCE here.
