[WEBINAR Replay] "Complex Systems simulations with open standards & Dymola" on October 23

To support the growing complexity of new systems, engineers and makers need to consider simulation at system level covering multiple domains. The use of open standards such as Modelica and FMI is a key enabler to better understand the behaviour of systems, and to work and communicate accurately with partners and suppliers. Dymola is not only capable to support an ad-hoc modelling level, such as functional behaviour or detailed design, but is also able to convert these predictive models into real time models thanks to Modelica language and Dymola symbolic manipulation of equations.

Watch now the replay of our 15th webinar of our CATIA TV program and listen to @VL , expert in Systems simulation. You will discover how Dassault Systèmes handles the challenge of analyzing your models and helping to run them in real time!

To answer questions raised before or during the webinar:

Question 1: Good morning Victor. Is it possible to couple Dymola with Catia V5?
Answer 1: Hello Maurice, It is possible to couple Dymola Standalone and CATIA V5 3Ddesign data through scripting. However the digital continuity will be to managed outside any platform

Q2: Is the FMI export standard and free with Dymola?

A2: Dear vanDjik, you can export FMUs from 3DEXPERIENCE platform Dymola. The FMUs you can export can be run without license calls as long as you have the proper options and license set up.

Q3:  Can you get the lookup tables from a git server? where can if find how to do that?

A3:  Within 3DEXPERIENCE, it should be feasible since we are storing models and data in the 3DEXPERIENCE database. You can ping me I8H@3dx.com to fix your concerns about lookup tables

Q4:  Which kind of libraries are for multi-phase flow?
A4:  We do have thermal system library

Q5: And what about the resulting multi-phase flow? Are them able to predict the velocity difference between vapor and liquid? As a Drift-flux model, or Two-liquid model.
A5:   Dear Andrea, it will depend upon the media model, You have some media that can be seen as 1 single equivalent mass flow rate or you can have different species. and then we can possibily monitor the different species flow.
