[WEBINAR | Replay] CO-MODSIM Collaboration on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, August 26th

Webinars Concurrent Engineering MODSIM 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE SIMULIA

LIVE On CATIA TV, we invite you and your business ecosystem to join on August 26th @ 7:30AM and 3:00PM UTC for an exclusive session on MOD-SIM collaboration on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform

In the recent years, the merge of modeling and simulation (MODSIM) has drastically improved, in order to create products that are more complex, with reduced lifecycles and with innovative materials and systems that will enhance the final user experience.

In this context, CATIA (MOD) and SIMULIA (SIM) are at the forefront of innovation in this new global MODSIM approach.

In this webinar, you will be able to discover how to design and simulate, on the platform, thanks to our two subject matter experts, @RT and @RB who will show you collaboration, simulation, and design, concurrently using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform

With the webinar, we will see how with  Covid-19 restrictions, engineers work concurrently on 3DExperience platform. The aim is not to educate about lot of heavy topics, but it’s about small things that you can enjoy working on a data-driven development environment.

We are embracing lot of collaborative technologies in our daily life like Skype/Slack/Facebook etc and we want to communicate and collaborate real-time.  The dependence on emails/formalized processes and document management etc is going down.

Today there is a lot of pressure on time-to-market, and engineers don’t enjoy formalized change management or structured collaboration.

What we generally see at a lot of customer sites. There are point solutions and the whole thing is sometimes bandaged together with a PDM. Within product development, CAD, CAE and MFG teams use different electronic tools requiring the translation of data every time data is exchanged.

The typical work-in-progress seems like a never ending process of check-ins/check-outs, managing revisions, versions and having to reconcile the most updated assembly.  This is generally not fun and there are potential of mistakes every time we save or make a new version.

If we take it to next step and want to run an iterative simulation loop to optimize design and run simulation cycles.  The neutral files being sent back and forth do not allow easy access to parameters and it becomes nearly impossible to run design-simulation loops.

This CATIA TV webinar will be held here, in this post, in our CATIA User Community, giving the capacity to interact in live with our subject matter experts.
