To answer questions raised before or during the webinar:

Question 1: Is PartSupply available only on cloud environment?

Answer 1: PartSupply concatenates highly volatile content that needs to be updated very often (prices and stocks for example are updated around once per min). That is why PartSupply is only available on the cloud. PartSupply Enterprise, buyer version of PartSupply, whereas permits to connect easily on premise data with PartSupply on the cloud. It enables a company to run their sourcing and procurement strategy through PartSupply Market Content.

Q2: How does the pricing model work? Also, does 3DS own the quality and delivery of parts or does the manufacturer owns it?

A2: PartSupply pricing is based on lead generation value (3D models downloads from supplier's catalog). Regarding content quality, manufacturer and vendors are responsible for their content.
And 3DS provides a quality assessment regarding data. For example, we provide classification suggestion and verification. Quality regarding 3D models itself will come in a few time.

Q3: What are the costs associated with using this service?

A3: PartSupply is free for web users and CATIA and SOLIDWORKS users. Pricing regarding content provider is based on leadgeneration value (numbers of downloads they get onto their catalog). Q4: Does EXALEAD OnePart have a connector available to index the geometry from Part Supply and be able to do Similarity search from CATIA 3DX directly on PartSupply?

A4: Yes, similarity search will be available to search in PartSupply from CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE. Regarding connection with OnePart, yes, PartSupply Enterprise will permit to compile in-house (OnePart content) and external catalogs (market infomation). Q5: What is needed to have access to part supply? Only 3DEXPERIENCE ID?

A5: PartSupply is available for free and you can browse and search for components without a login.
But as login is free and enables 3dsimilarity search, tagger to refine search and downloads of models, we invite you to create your 3DEXPERIENCE id directly in PartSupply. If you have already a 3DEXPERIENCE ID, you should be able to login with it.
