here is a short tutorial on how to shape an apple from a sphere. no fancy. It could help get started with the new mesh solver tool.
the logic is
1. make a sphere and mesh it (I used IMA, but could be a parametric one as well
2. create a point at both poles
3. use the points to fix some vertices of the sphere mesh
4. add constraints -> bending / elasticity (fix length of mesh edges)
5. inflate with a pressure constraint
6. solver
then adjust. mesh size, number of iterations, pressure, elasticity, damping
check the video to get the feeling (I am using a LENOVO P15 laptop
this time the model is done in Cloud -> I hope you can download and import in your environments.
I will try to continue the tuto with some bouncing to get shape complexity (slight random
