Hello CATIA family ! 

As part of the contest and in the momentum of the world water day let me introduce a Shower design concept made with 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA on the cloud.

🌏 10 years ago we were talking a lot about #smarthomes and #iot, these objects connected to the internet supposed to bring intelligence into our homes... Well I deeply believe that the smart homes and objects of tomorrow are those that will be connected to their environment, to the outside and to their society. Bringing the #intelligenceofnature, vegetal, animal and mineral world into our living.



💧 This easily installable shower is a design attempt to a sustainable and resilient object by :

- collecting used water during your shower and purifies it with natural purification from stones + invert osmosis & uvc light technology

- redistributing it while saving energy thanks to an assembly of optimized parts by fluidflow simulation

-by storing the surplus of purified water in order to reuse it in other domestic water applications

- avoids wasting water by preheating it to the temperature of the last shower before running

- reduces water consumption thanks to a 3D printed generative part inside the shower head that breaks the shape of the water

- offers a personalized experience by promoting maintenance and the circular economy: the part is easily interchangeable and offers different water distribution sensation depending on its shape. This one is 3D printed by local upcycling communities in recycled materials from fishing nets, oyster shells and plastic from the oceans

To create this concept I used CATIA both for Design ideation, Mechanical parts & assembly and Design communication. What is strong using a CATIA connected to a platform is the bridges that exist with other apps and tools such as simulation, optimization or even lifecycle analysis & assessment. You can better anticipate the impact of your design in the society, environement and macro economy but also the relation with the other stakeholders of the project by learning, sharing and speaking the same language through 3D.
