During this year, the Stellar team, who is developing the embedded Stellar Physically Correct renderer in the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, has achieved remarkable progress :
- With the introduction of the new raytracing toggle command, starting raytracing became significantly easier. Stellar Physically Correct is not exposed as a view mode anymore but via an explicit, easily accessible icon in the View tab
- Since 21x FD03 users experience a lot better performance, as GPU is the default mode, and get perfect rendering consistency between GPU and CPU backends.
- Performance improvements for interactive and batch rendering made using Stellar Physically Correct even more attractive.
- Great scalability in huge GPU clusters was demonstrated
- Stellar Physically Correct replaced Mental Ray in more than 54 roles
- Native support of +Complex materials and various other consistency improvements with IRAY make a smooth transition from IRAY to Stellar Physically Correct easily possible, paving the way for making Stellar Physically Correct the default GI renderer in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform 21x FD04.
