CATIA Engineering IP control application helps you to generate a filtered version of your products while keeping the highest level of geometric model definition.

There are collaboration use cases where the geometry inside the product (that is not visible from the outside), is not needed to support the downstream process. For example to reserve space for an equipment in the assembly the internal geometric details are useless.

In this situation removing the internal details will require many user interactions and can be quite long .The user shall select all the features to remove and some time it is also needed to disassemble the features that are partially visible from the outside (in order to remove only the feature"s faces not visible from the outside)

From 3DEXPERIENCE R2020x CATIA Engineering IP control application provide new options to remove not visible (from the outside, ie hidden by other content) IP:

1° Product Instances not visible will be removed: an instance partially visible from the outside will be fully kept

2° Features not visible will be removed: an feature partially visible from the outside will be fully kept

3° Geometry (faces) not visible will be removed: a face partially visible from the outside will be fully kept

These options may provide huge time savings compared to a manual removal operation.
