‘Model Based Definition’ (MBD) / 3D as Master is being adopted by many OEM to reduce the product development time and improve engineers efficiency. And its crucial to take care that the suppliers don’t incur any investment on software to read those inputs coming from OEM.

In the attached document, I have captured the workflow deployed for sharing the 3DMaster data with suppliers in a light weight, non editable smg format. This method has enabled the suppliers in adopting the extended 3D information sharing to the traditional drawing method.
