About Saša Ćuković

Saša main research interests include CAD/CAM systems, reverse engineering and noninvasive 3D reconstruction and modeling in engineering and medicine, augmented reality and computer vision. He authored/co-authored 4 books and more than 70 papers. He stated to use CATIA during his high and higher education and it followed him throughout all his education including doctorate and post-doctorate. This year is exactly 20 years of an amazing experience and great projects he did using various CATIA modules, from Part Design to VBA programing and Reverse Engineering.

He developed a YT channel for the basic course and first Augmented reality book in Serbia on CAD/CAM topic and again CATIA was a primary CAD/CAM software presented there. Also, he initiated and published few course books using CATIA for BSc and MSc students. Thank to his systematic approach in CAD/CAM teaching he attracted a collaboration with a few teams from Singapore University of Technology and Design, Technical University of Munich, Polytechnic Institute of Bari, Politehnica of Bucharest, Lucian Blaga University o Sibiu, etc.

At the ESB16 congress in Lyon, he won the "1st prize MIMICS INNOVATION AWARD" for the EMEA region for the high quality, cutting-edge research results presented in my PhD thesis - a clear recognition in the scientific community. In February this year he received prestigious Marie Sklodowska Curie (MSCA) grant for postdoctoral research fellowship at ETH Zurich (Switzerland).
