What is offered & how it serves
SHM Unfolded view computation parameters
This function provides an enhancement on Sheet Metal Parameters and different bending features to define directly bend allowance or bend deduction as additional methods for bend unfold length computation. Before this highlight, k-factor was the only method available for unfold length computation.
Recognize feature enhancement
This function adds two new capabilities to the existing Sheet metal recognize feature.
- Convert the surface element to a sheet metal component.
- Convert a non-constant thick solid into a sheet metal component.
In both cases, user can select reference face, bend face, bend and split edges and faces to recognize to generate the sheet metal component.
Flange offset extremities
This enhancement allow user to create edge flanges with offset value as extremities. Also, both the extremities are not mandatory to create a flange. Earlier to this enhancement, flange extremities considered only plane or surface as inputs and both the inputs were mandatory.
Normal cutout
Currently for cutout based on sketches, only Top or Bottom faces is available for Impact option. With this function, there will be a new option “Optimize geometry” that will be available to the user, which will create cutout result taking into consideration impacts on both Top/Bottom faces.

SHM Thread Technological Results
This highlight facilitates the generation of thread technological results (TR) for sheet metal holes and threads. The generated technological result will have information of both folded and unfolded results of sheet metal holes and threads. These TRs are further exposed to the downstream applications like FTA.
SHM_Tool_OGS_inputs_for_cutout
This function enables user to select solid tool or OGS having solid features as the input for cutout creation.
