/// Project Bólido 🌠 : The ultimate Hybrid Power Track focused supercar design.

Hello everybody! I am Baltasar Trabalón and today I would like to present you the Bólido project, my latest design

Bólido was born for those who desire an attractive and powerfull vehicle that provides an exciting experience to the occupants. Following no rules but those of Physics, this vehicle will impress you and will make you want to drive it as much as share it thanks to its two seats.

Bólido’s concept is simple. The design process has aimed to transfer this simplicity to all areas of the Project, reducing its complexity, mass and cost.

From a technical point of view, Bólido is a mid-engined, rear-wheel drive vehicle which follows the traditional scheme of a super-sports-car. However, it is a hybrid vehicle with an electric motor that adds traction to the front axle.

In order to achieve the best possible weight distribution this motor, its battery and fuel tank are also located in central position behind the seats.

For dynamic purposes, a double wishbone configuration on both axles was chosen. The suspension elements are located on the chassis, helping to reduce the unsprung mass of the vehicle.

Looking closely at the mechanical characteristics of the vehicle, its main structure is made of steel. It is a three-dimensional tubular chassis that helps to achieve the required rigidity and performance levels.
This also helps to reduce costs and simplify the manufacturing and assembly processes.

Lastly, the bodywork responds to all the vehicle’s needs with regard to cooling and aerodynamic stability. This fiber-made skin tries to achieve natural beauty based on proportions and elegance. When this balance is achieved in car design, it has an incredible capacity to convey emotions to its viewer, reaching an impact level intrinsic to automobiles.

This Project is a deep dive into my vision of this type of super car. Bólido has been designed to help inspire others and nurture the passion for the automobile as something much more intense than a simple mobility resource.

In this publication you will find some images. However, you can also see it in motion in the following video.

I hope you like it!
