We are very pleased to reveal our new CATIA Champion, Pedro Madero (@PM) from Collins Aerospace. With more than 5,000 hours working on CATIA V5, Pedro has demonstrated his commitment to push further and further his knowledge about how to properly design and automate processes in CATIA. Pedro was welcomed to the CATIA Champions Program a few weeks ago after applying online on the CATIA User Community.
Pedro is a design engineer. Currently he works as Design Engineer on Collins Aerospace. His first experience on CATIA was 3 years in this company and the software got his attention immediately. He started to learn about some workbenches as GSD and Composites Design at the same time he discovered the CATIA automation section and that impressed him a lot. Well, he realized everything he could automate, the time he could save and the mistakes that could be avoided.
The first macro Pedro developed took him a few months. That macro reduced the cycle time of a process in CATIA from 7 hours to 30 minutes also increased the precision of the process and developed a new method of superposition of curves on a surface. Since then his company has given Pedro the opportunity to take several CATIA courses and he has shared his knowledge with his colleagues. He always try to invite then to learn about the possibilities that CATIA programming can offer.
