Welcome to Francois Dallaire our new CATIA Champion from Quebec, Canada. He has been working as an industrial and mechanical CAD designer for the past 20 years. He is skilled in transforming ideas into functional, fabricable, and esthetically perfect three-dimensional models. Francois has extensive experience in Class ‘‘A’’ and surface modeling, development of products and advanced concepts, reverse engineering, photo-realistic renderings, and analyzing parts for molding or machining. He is proficient in implementing new 2D/3D design strategies on SolidWorks, Catia V5, and 3DExperience platform and is constantly developing new standards for manufacturing, improving design processes to reduce development time/costs, and facilitating the design for a more effective cost reduction. Francois also analyzes modeling surfaces to avoid defects and produce higher-quality products. He makes photo-realistic renderings to facilitate visual validation of products to minimize the requirement of expensive prototypes.

Francois possesses strong technical knowledge in the field of mold design, development of (plastic/metal, fiberglass & carbon fiber parts), and all types of molding processes (injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, roto molding, vacuum forming, and laminating), machining process, timber field (stairs, kitchen cabinets, and office furniture), large formats machinery field (conveyors, machinery for secondary wood processing and cardboard recovery).

He has designed and conceived various kinds of products, worked on surface modeling and Class ‘‘A’’ surfacing, Sub-D modeling (IMA), Live Rendering (Photorealistic rendering), and analyzed products molding and machining process. Francois is an artistic thinker focused on time, cost, and quality. He has defined and led best practices within his organization and is involved in the industry to follow new trends and practices. Francois has the ability to share knowledge with teammates to improve team efficiency. He possesses natural abilities like autodidact, thoroughness, dedication, and multitasking.
