The Mt Fuji World Heritage Centre is devoted to the presentation of the importance of Japan’s most iconic landmark in cultural, historical, geological, and ecological terms. It houses exhibition galleries, multi-media spaces, a theatre, a library, a lecture room, and a café.
The Mt. Fuji World Heritage Centre is located in the city of Fujinomiya in the Southwestern foothills of Mt. Fuji. A part of Shizuoka Prefecture, the borders of the city actually include the Southwestern quarter of Mt. Fuji and many climbers will begin their journey to the summit from Fujinomiya.
