Join us for this live webinar on May 7th and learn more about different modeling, simulation and optimization applications for plastic bottles.
Using realistic simulation for virtual prototypes instead of physical testing helps accelerate product development in all industries, including CPG-R. Plastic bottles are one of the most simulated products in this industry, for which we have many multiphysics applications. From the structural behavior of the bottles and caps, to the production process of the plastic parts themselves, i.e. simulation of plastic injection molding. We can also use fluid dynamics simulations to model how bottles and caps behave in the production line or whether they enhance the overall consumer experience.
In this webinar, we will show examples for all the above mentioned aspects and introduce the benefits of using the MODSIM approach. As all simulations are built and executed on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, design updates can be easily applied on all downstream simulation models, and parametric design studies can be set up and executed in a very simple manner. We will show simulation and optimization applications for a variety of bottle designs (shampoo, water and detergents) and demonstrate a fully automated wall thickness optimization for most relevant loading scenarios that can be started by a non-expert user from a Web UI. Such automated processes unlock the full potential of simulation and help customers save hundreds of tons of resin each year.
