The CATIA Team is very pleased to introduce you to Michele Fiorentino @MF  who has joined the CATIA Champions Program​​​​​​​ a few weeks ago. Since 2015 he is Associate Professor at the Polytechnic of Bari in the field "Design and Methods of Industrial Engineering", at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and Management of the Polytechnic of Bari (DMMM).

Michele graduated with honors in Mechanical Engineering MS, in 2003 he obtained a doctorate in "Advanced production systems". Since 2015 he is Associate Professor at the Polytechnic of Bari in the field "Design and Methods of Industrial Engineering", at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and Management of the Polytechnic of Bari (DMMM). From 2017 he is qualified to Full Professor. From 2018 he is the coordinator of the Master's degree in industrial design and board member of the Digilab, the Contamination Lab of the Polytechnic of Bari, and PC of ISMAR, IEEE. The main areas of research are CAD, CAX, ergonomic tools Virtual, Augmented Reality and reality Reconstruction applied and bioengineering. He was a visiting researcher in several institutes of excellence around the world. He is currently the author of more than 34 papers in international journals, has coordinated research projects and has participated in international research projects. Michele teaches "Virtual Design and Simulation" at the Faculty of Industrial Design and "Simulation and Virtual Prototyping" in the Master's Degree in Engineering at the Polytechnic of Bari. He also has more of 20 years of experience as a professional trainer for companies, technical schools, SIS and Ph.Ds.
