Meet the PartSupply Team

Hello,

I joined Dassault Systèmes at a time when we were just a big startup of 500 people… I'll let you guess the year?

I graduated with a M.S. degree in Computer Science and Electronics from the “Ecole Polytech”. The topic of my dissertation was “Parallel Language Programming.”.

The end-of-study internship in an electrical motor company was about “3D Parametric Motor Shaft Definition,” so it was only natural that I began my career at Dassault Systèmes in R&D.

After 2 years I moved to a consulting role to be in closer contact with our customers, understand their needs and help them to better use our products.

5 years later I move to the dark side of the force to the Sales team ;-) I participated in the creation of DS Belgium in 1997, DS Switzerland in 2000, and our office of Coventry, UK in 2005.

In 2009 I completed the Executive MBA program at HEC in Paris.

I joined the EXALEAD brand (now NETVIBES) in 2012 and manage Sales teams across Europe and Asia.

As NETVIBES VP of Content and Partner Sales WW, I work with our CATIA Resellers to propose the best solutions, and I’m in charge of developing our content service Marketplace PartSupply, delivering to all industries the most holistic, up-to-date and exhaustive information on components worldwide in design context.

By the way, my name is Philippe Boulay!

I’d like to introduce you to my colleague: Julien

Hello my name is Julien Law-To!

I received my M.S. degree in Electronics from the University of Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris, France, in 2003 and in Physics from the Ecole Supérieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielle de la Ville de Paris.

I went on to earn my Ph.D. in Computer Vision from the University of Versailles Saint Quentin in 2007. During my Ph.D. studies, I worked at INA, the French national television archives, and at INRIA (in Imedia project). My thesis was on "Video Features: From Genericity to Distinctiveness of Video Content Description."

The thesis deals with the problem of video analysis; the final goal is traceability of videos on TV and on the Internet.

In 2007-2008 I was working on benchmarking video copy detection systems at INRIA, so it was a natural fit for me to start working at EXALEAD (now NETVIBES) on the Labs team in the area of heterogeneous multimedia document processing; the goal was to provide new search experiences using inside tools and collaborating on research programs.

I was in charge of the Voxalead demonstrator, a unique search engine that searches into multimedia content. This project won several awards at multimedia conferences.

When Dassault Systèmes acquired EXALEAD, I joined the R&D team to create a new application called OnePart Reduce. Its goal was first to be able to help deduplicate product parts based on their shape similarity. The application has evolved and is now a key asset for semi-automatic categorization and standardization of parts.

In 2018, I became an Industry Process Expert Specialist to be in closer contact with industrial needs in order to evangelize people on our solutions and to get feedback from the field to help R&D build the best tools and applications.

We both look forward to exchanging with you about how NETVIBES PartSupply solutions integrated into CATIA on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform can help you make better decisions about whether to reuse, buy or make product parts.
