Within the CATIA brand, the CATIA Strategy team's objective is to support the strategic development and growth of Dassault Systèmes' star brand in its 12 industrial sectors. Working on behalf of the CEO and the CATIA management team, it is responsible for making recommendations on the future portfolio of solutions to be put in place and is therefore in charge of the following subjects: building the brand's strategic plan and business plan for 3 and 6 years, market intelligence activities, carrying out ad-hoc strategic studies, putting together acquisition and partnership dossiers, etc.

Your contribution:

Contributing to the various missions for the CATIA CEO, you will be required to carry out the following tasks:

  • Strategy: working with the group's various teams, you will propose entry strategies for the growth drivers identified for CATIA, whether internal growth (product development proposals) or external growth (partnership and acquisition proposals);
  • Assess the landscape: market segmentation and sizing, competitive and technological intelligence including trend studies, study of the competitive positioning of CATIA solutions;
  • Planning: contribution to the annual financial and strategic planning process (market analysis, identification of growth drivers, financial forecasts and summary of the associated offering plan);
  • Alliances: building and monitoring the alliances radar (partnerships and acquisitions) for the CATIA brand. Participation in the analysis of potential targets, presentation to management and construction of investment dossiers (due diligence);
  • Management support: ad hoc support for the CEO in preparing internal and external meetings (clients, conferences, etc.).

As an integral part of the CATIA brand, you will work very closely with all the teams that make it up: R&D, Portfolio Managers, Sales, Finance, Marketing, etc. As part of your work, you will also be required to collaborate with other Group organisations: Brands, Industries, Corporate M&A, Corporate Finance, etc.


Your Key Success Factors:

  • With a 5-year degree in engineering or equivalent, you have a strong awareness of both business and technological issues. This dual sensitivity should be evident in your academic (double degree) and/or professional career;
  • You have more than 4 years' professional experience in a major new technologies group, in industry or in strategy consulting on technological products;
  • Your technical background / general scientific knowledge means that you can easily work on our software solution and interact with R&D;
  • You are curious and have a strong interest in new technologies: Virtual Twin, Artificial Intelligence, Industrial Design, Systems Engineering (Architecture, Embedded Systems, etc.), Circular Design, Autonomous Driving, etc...;
  • You have good analytical and writing skills in both French and English. You have a perfect command of basic IT tools, in particular Excel and PowerPoint;
  • You are familiar with the major concepts of strategy (case studies, etc.). You have solid skills in financial analysis/modelling;
  • You have a good ability to summarise and a good business sense;
  • You will be highly adaptable, able to work on multiple tasks and set priorities in order to deliver concise, high-quality reports in a highly demanding environment;
  • Ideally, you will be familiar with our products;
  • Fluent in English
