3DEXPERIENCE Lab and the team behind 'THE INVENTOR', a new film about Leonardo da Vinci Directed by Academy Award® Nominated writer and Pixar story veteran Jim Capobianco, invite you to showcase your 3D skills and give life to the drawings of Leonardo Da Vinci chosen from his original codices.

If you are chosen as one of the 5 Winners, you have a chance to be featured in the movie when it is finally released in addition to other awards...Amazing, Right!!!

How to Participate

To participate, all you have to do is - choose any ONE codex out of the 10 codices listed in the Open Codex Community and design it in 3D using any of your favorite Dassault Systèmes’ app(s): SOLIDWORKS, CATIA, or xDesign.

In case you do not have access to any of these solutions, we can give you access to xDesign, as long as you request for access before the limited stock of licenses ends. So, Hurry Up and let us know if you need access to xDesign. Visit the Open Codex Community for details. 

To be eligible for Judging, a Participant (in Individual capacity) must create a ‘Post’ on the Open Codex Community explaining the final design and also upload a 3D Model on the Community before the term of competition ends.

The Open Codex Community

Please note that the Open Codex Community is the single source of truth for this challenge. Everything you need to know- Challenge Rules, Flyer, Updates, FAQs..will be on that Community (as Posts, Media, or Wikis). In fact, the only way to participate in the Challenge is to upload your 3D design and make a post on the Open Codex Community before April 15, 2021

To be able to make a 'Post ' on the Community, you need to click on 'Become an author' and the Community Owner will grant to permission to be an Author on this community and post questions and later your entry and 3D Model. This is just a one time process.
