With accelerating interest and questions about environmental product declarations (EPD’s) and other actions to meet sustainability requirements, Patrick LOWE joined multiple experts to share expertise on lifecycle assessment. Discussion included insights about 3DS’ integrated Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) capabilities to drive sustainable innovations in US and global composites sectors during the annual meeting of the Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation (IACMI) August 13-15th.
During the 3-day meeting, 3DS welcomed more than 100 guests from industry, federal and state agencies, laboratories and universities to the 3DS-West Lafayette site at Purdue University, as part of a site tour organized by Dr. Byron Pipes, Executive Director of Purdue’s Composites Manufacturing and Simulation Center. 3DS’ Dipesh SHAH and Bob DURBIN led an introductory briefing to highlight 3DS contributions to composites innovations across the transportation, aerospace, infrastructure and education sectors.
