We were very happy to welcome  @VP, General Manager of Hopper, at the international event on composites, jecworld2023, at the end of April (see previous post). 

@WS, WW @3L Specialist at @DS, interviewed him and presented a live demo on how the 3DEXPERIENCE platform is helping Hopper collaborate on its running blade series for people with disabilities.

This exciting project was launched by Jérôme (polyamputee) and Benjamin (engineer at Airbus) to improve accessibility to sports for people with disabilities. Benjamin and  Airbus Humanity Lab proposed it to 6 engineering students from IMT Mines Albi. 

Now these blades are designed by Hopper to be more sustainable, more affordable and finally more inclusive, thanks to a very clever upcycling process starting with the ends of composite material rolls used by Airbus.
