We are very excited to welcome our newest CATIA Champion @JW! 🏆

James is an MBSE specialist and digital engineering transformation leader at a medical devices company based in Colorado, USA. In his role, he drives the adoption of Model-Based Systems Engineering practices using CATIA Magic products—helping architect both enterprise processes and innovative products, while mentoring others to embrace MBSE.

With a PhD in Systems Engineering, James also served as a teaching assistant in systems architecture, where he trained students on CATIA Magic. His contributions extend to the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), where he helps define digital engineering and enterprise systems concepts.

A highlight of James’ expertise is his work on the open-source Model-Based Structured Requirements SysML v1 profile, developed in CATIA Magic and applied to real-world projects at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). His published work, including an IEEE Aerospace conference paper, demonstrates the real impact of MBSE in advanced engineering programs.
