In order to measure the volume or the area of a solid use the Part Design or Assembly Design applications. In the preferences tab, set the default units to adapt them to the degree of precision of thedesired result. Here the units we use are mm, mm² and mm3 since the crystals we are working on are extremely small. Then use the "Measure Item" section and select your solid. A window opens showing the volume of the solid, its area and the coordinates of its center of gravity.
The GeoLab is an innovation center that provides technological tools to UniLaSalle students in order to develop educational or research projects in geosciences.
The themes we are working on are the 3D modeling (micrometer crystal to kilometric field model), digital simulation, 3D printing, analog modeling, Serious Games design, bio-mimicry, virtual / augmented / mixed reality, big data, photogrammetry, etc.
