How to create an intersection volume

To create a volume built by the intersection of two other volumes, you must first create a new 3Dpart. In the tree, expand the two 3Dparts involved in the intersection.

Select the 3DShape of the new 3DPart and select the "intersection" tool. Then select the two volumes concerned by the intersection. Your new volume has been created in your new 3DPart as "intersect.1".

You can then modify the graphic elements of different volumes such as color or transparency to have a better visualization of the new volume.

The GeoLab is an innovation center that provides technological tools to UniLaSalle students in order to develop educational or research projects in geosciences.

The themes we are working on are the 3D modeling (micrometer crystal to kilometric field model), digital simulation, 3D printing, analog modeling, Serious Games design, bio-mimicry, virtual / augmented / mixed reality, big data, photogrammetry, etc.

You can follow our activity on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/GeoLabUniLaSalle/and our YouTube channel : http://www.youtube.com/c/GéoLabUniLaSalle

Do not hesitate to contact us if you have a project idea that could involve GeoLab and UniLaSalle students.
