F-22 Raptor: Re-Creating a Legend

Recreating the F-22 Raptor in CATIA was a challenge in surface mastery. The jet’s stealth features rely on precise edge alignment, continuous curvature, and minimized radar reflections.

• Natural Sketch allowed me to begin with fluid hand-drawn lines directly in the 3D environment, translating ideas into geometry without external tools.
• From there, Generative Shape Design helped define the wing-body blending, chines, and faceted surfaces that make the F-22 unique.
• Every curve was not just an aesthetic decision but a functional surface, aerodynamics and stealth working together.
• Assembly management ensured the canopy, intakes, and tail structures aligned perfectly with the fuselage, exactly like in a production program.

The result: a digital twin of one of the world’s most sophisticated aircraft, built entirely in CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE, from scratch.
