I'm back again with another video exploring how to generate multiple concepts using the Function-Driven Generative Design app in 3DEXPERIENCE. We will demonstration how generative design within 3DEXPERIENCE can rapidly generate and refine multiple concepts while adhering to functional design requirements.
We'll start with an existing study where a topology optimization was previously run for an additive manufacturing concept. We will then take the existing topology optimization study and use the multiple generation tool to create a variant with a milling manufacturing constraint. Next, we’ll use the concept shape creation tool to generate our shape. This tool produces constrained sketches based on the defined milling directions, resulting in editable sketches. These sketches give us full control over the final geometry, ensuring a clean and efficient design. Finally, we’ll run a validation study on the design to ensure it meets the required stress and deflection criteria.
Watch the video to see how the Function-Driven Generative Designer role (GDE) enables efficient and innovative design solutions!
