Finn Mast Project Composites Engineering Mesh Creation Structural Scenario Creation Physics Results Explorer
Dear all,
After the first episode related to the creation of parametrized design model, we will introduce you the Simulations tasks using the innovative 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
The simulation requires the definition of three main aspects: geometry (parametrized design & mesh), material (composites material & composite shell property) & loads (wind pressure on the mast, tension in the sheet, …).
Mesh generation is performed easily using the parametric surface which contains the composite definition.
Composites shell property is created based on the core-sampling capabilities of the platform from the composite design definition to the composite shell property creation per mesh element.
During this simulation step thanks to the Structural Model & Structural Scenario applications, we have a simple way to define, simulate & post process the deformations and stresses in each composite layer.
