I had the pleasure of visiting Elixir Aircraft during last Paris Air Show and speaking with @CC , one of the founders and the Director of Marketing and Sales. Elixir Aircraft was established eight years ago with a bold vision: to modernize aviation by addressing the challenges faced by the aging fleet of training aircraft.
Cyril shared the company’s mission to create a safer, more fuel-efficient, and versatile aircraft by leveraging advanced technologies from racing boats. The result is the Elixir aircraft, which has achieved certification and is set to meet the needs of various clients with its unique features.
The major challenges Elixir Aircraft faces include maintaining rapid development timelines and ensuring precise modeling of complex parts to guarantee seamless assembly and reliable performance. To tackle these challenges, they utilize advanced solutions like Assembly Design, CATIA Composer, and Configuration Management. These tools not only aid in the design and certification process but also ensure the traceability and reliability of their products, even decades into the future.
Cyril emphasized three key benefits of these solutions: reliability, traceability, and significant time savings, which ultimately lead to substantial cost savings and efficient collaboration across the entire production chain.
