In order to better address current city issues , a deeper understanding of the environment becomes mandatory. Design cannot stay isolated anymore, but it has to be integrated with the purpose and value it adds to its context; it has to be a product of knowledge derived from data and needs that we can't ignore any further. This is what we are trying to show through our DATAVIRONMENT Hackathon soon at the MilanoDesignWeek.
