The CATIA Team is very pleased to introduce you to Cyrille Le Lann (@CL ), who has joined the CATIA Champions Program a few weeks ago. Cyrille is working for Safran Aircraft Engines as Digital Thread Architect, he is also a CAD/MBE Principal Expert for his company. He is leading the Safran MBD Committee who aims to coordinate the Model Based Definition topic within the companies from Safran Group. Also, Cyrille is involved within the User Community of Dassault Systèmes (UCODS) as co-pilot of CAD committee.
" I've started my CATIA journey in 2000 when I've joined Dassault Systèmes as Support Engineer, starting with Bendpart (CATIA V4) then going through all the workbenchs linked to Mechanical & Surfacic design (Solide / Part Design / Assembly / GSD / Freestyle / SMD / GSMD / Core & Cavity Design / Mold Tool Design /....).
I've work with all kind of customers, all around the world (Ford Motor Company - DaimlerChrysler - Toyota - Airbus - Boeing - Honda - Tata Motors - Bell Helicopters ...) to support them in projects, bugs fixes, migration plans,and escalations.
When I've left Dassault Systèmes in early 2012, I was CATIA L3 Operation manager, working mainly in all the escalation paths linked to CATIA business.
In 2012 I've joined Safran Aircraft Engines to work as CAD coordinator,CAD Expert then CAD deputy in the Methods & tools Department for Design office and I've started to more deeply see the usage of CATIA for design, and to study what will be the next steps for my company in CAD usages, leading several Proof of Concept around CATIA V6 then CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE .
I became Model Based Enterprise Principal Expert in 2018 and I've coordinated the CAD community network within Safran group since 2016 and now the Safran Model Based Definition committee since early 2021.
In parallel of my CAD activities I've investigated the possible strategies for Simulation Process & Data Management within a scope of CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE usage for CAD/CAE link.
Since march 2021 I'm now focused on manufacturing topics, still around CAD usage between entities, in order to smooth the digital thread between them, as Digital Thread Architect. This new responsibility is allowing me to connect my CAD knowledge with transversal view of the 3D data usage within Dassault Systèmes solutions including in 3DEXPERIENCE."
