Working as a volunteer in the design of a replica airplane, opened my eyes to a whole new world, the world of historic airplanes, a world full of passionate people, eager to see and know such beauties made during the history of aviation.
The IAR80FA project certainly opened the interest of the Romanian public due to the fact that it is the most famous Romanian fighter plane in ww2, we can see this especially on https://www.facebook.com/IAR80FA . For our friends speaking other languages than Romanian, on the project website, you can use the translator plugin from the upper right corner.
Because the project is an open one and does not involve any secret technology, we try to involve both students and people interested in this type of project.
The 3DX platform offers us a multitude of possibilities, the collaborative work being in the first place, CATIA and ENOVIA being used in this stage. Once again, thanks to MAGIC ENGINEERING who gave us the possibility to develop the project inside 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
That being said, I can now show a simple case of collaboration between passionate people. After a post in which we showed the plane with a simplified mannequin in the cockpit, @TG from VisoPro Sverige AB, helped us to replace the simple mannequin with a more realistic one prepared and modified according to our needs.

And to be even closer to reality and make things even more fun, our colleague Razvan Badileanu, made us a helmet and pilot glasses characteristic ww2 objects that Tomasz adjusted for our "pilot".
On this occasion, we saw how well the exchange of data between different platforms can be done using different types of files.
And the final touch for our pilot.
The human which Tomasz adjusted for us can be set with the right license for different studies.
