3DEXPERIENCE CATIA is full of jewels: Engineering IP Control is one of them (IP stands for Intellectual Property). The good news is that this App is part of almost all 3DEXPERIENCE Mechanical Roles (in V5 it was an add-on). So you just get it when moving from CATIA V5 to 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA. 

In this talk, you'll get an overview of this application which has multiple benefits in your every day CATIA work: 

• not only you can use it, at the end of your design, to sweep out some of the IP of your part or assembly you don't want to share with your customers or suppliers (part properties, parametric features, colors....) 

• but you can also use it to simplify models you get from your customers or suppliers to insert much lighter models in your assembly (typically, just get the outer shape - what is seen from outside - of a complex product provided by a supplier)
