CATIA Design Contest : Newt - Pragyan Rover : World International Moon Day (July)

Hello Everyone,

I'm Kiran Nikwade & Here is my proposition.

I Introduced to "Newt - Pragyan Rover" , for fifth session of the CATIA Design Contest on the topic of World International Moon Day.

The Rise Of ISRO : From Bicycle To A Billion Dreams (Animation)

Chandrayaan

Chandrayaan is a word from the Hindi language, where "Chandra" means "Moon" and "Yaan" means "vehicle" or "craft." Therefore, Chandrayaan can be translated to "Mooncraft" or "Moon vehicle," referring to the space missions conducted by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to explore the Moon.

Chandrayaan 1, launched on October 22, 2008, was India's first lunar probe. It successfully entered the lunar orbit on November 8, 2008, and conducted various scientific experiments to study the Moon's surface and composition. The mission made several significant discoveries, including the confirmation of the presence of water molecules on the Moon's surface.

Chandrayaan 2, India's second lunar exploration mission, was launched on July 22, 2019. It was a more ambitious mission, consisting of an orbiter, a lander named Vikram, and a rover named Pragyan. The primary goal was to explore the Moon's south polar region, an area that had not been extensively studied before.

14th July 2023 will always be etched in golden letters as far as India’s space sector is concerned. Chandrayaan-3, our third lunar mission, will embark on its journey. This remarkable mission will carry the hopes and dreams of our nation.

Chandrayaan-3 will be inserted into the Lunar Transfer Trajectory after the orbit raising maneuvers. Covering over 300,000 km, it will reach the Moon in the coming weeks. Scientific instruments onboard will study the Moon’s surface and enhance our knowledge.

Pragyan Rover : A Giant Leap for India's Lunar Exploration

In 2023, India achieved yet another milestone in its space exploration journey with the successful landing of the Pragyan Rover on the lunar surface as part of the Chandrayaan-3 mission. Pragyan, meaning "wisdom" in Sanskrit, represented a significant step forward in India's pursuit of scientific discovery and technological advancements in space exploration.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission aimed to pick up where its predecessor, Chandrayaan-2, left off. While Chandrayaan-2's Vikram lander experienced a communication failure just moments before landing, the Chandrayaan-3 mission was designed to address the technical challenges faced during the previous attempt. It aimed to demonstrate India's capability to conduct a soft landing on the moon and deploy the Pragyan Rover to conduct in-situ studies.
