As in industry, I received class A surface of a car door’s plastic trims from the aesthetic design team. My objective was to develop the class A surface received into manufacturable product design following the OEM design standards using CATIA V5 surface workbench. Various plastic door trims such as map pocket, armrest, a lower substrate, etc with attachment features were successfully developed by following the injection moulding principles in this project. This project was a part of 'Automotive plastic design using CATIA V5' course included in ' Post Graduate Certification in Hybrid Electric Vehicle Design & Analysis' on Skill-Lync. Also a couple of photorealistic images were generated using Keyshot.
