In my latest post, I introduce the concept of EKL scripting to automate CATIA's Engineering Template functionality to develop efficient and scalable generative design-to-production workflows. These workflows enable us to create 3D models that are not just geometry and simple information (BIM); rather they are high fidelity digital twins that comprehensively encapsulate design, engineering, and manufacturing data within a single digital source of truth. From these models, all necessary material and fabrication information can be extracted quickly and seamlessly with a net reduction in time and risk.
