Sprit-Spiral: a water bottle that can hold two different drinks
Hello, my name is Yusei Miyata, a freshman at Aso Architecture & Design College.
I would like to introduce my original design of a water bottle modeled in the ASO Learning Labo.
This water bottle looks like an ordinary water bottle because the lines that divide it blend into the spiral design, but when the outer lid is removed, it separates into two water bottles.
The semi-circular lid may seem difficult to fix firmly in place, but by suspending the disk, which engages with the teeth attached to the inside of the canteen, by means of a hook integrated with the drinking spout, and by attaching a nut-like ring from the top of the lid to the drinking spout and tightening it, the drinking spout is pulled upward with the disk, resulting in the following As a result, the lid can be firmly attached to the water bottle. There is no risk of drink leakage. Although the disc and the drinking spout do not need to be separate for functional purposes, they are separated into two parts for ease of washing.
The bottom of the canister is shaped so that the center of gravity does not lie too close to the edge when the canisters are separated, allowing each canister to be placed stably on a table or other surface.
The walls of the water bottle are vacuum insulated, so even if you fill one with cold water and the other with hot coffee, they will maintain their original temperatures after several hours.
I thought it would be useful and interesting to have such a water bottle, so I did the modeling for this project. It was difficult to think about the structure, but it was also fun. We are planning to output it with a 3D printer and create a mockup that has even been painted in the future. Thanks for taking a look!
