The 32nd INCOSE International Symposium (IS2022) will be held as a hybrid event between June 25-30, 2022 in Detroit, Michigan, USA, the power center of the global automotive industry. Hundreds of systems engineering (SE) enthusiasts around the world will be converging in the "Motor City" next week, plus many more virtually through the digital platform, for nearly a week long of presentations, case studies, workshops, tutorials and panel discussions.
Known as the authority for the field of systems engineering, the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE; pronounced in-co-see) is the largest professional society for systems engineering practitioners in industry, governments and academia and has 19,000+ active individual members, corporate members and student members worldwide.
The annual international symposium is the largest event, typically attracting well over a thousand attendees around the world (pre-pandemic), and provides an opportunity to share ideas, exchange best practices, learn new offerings, network, and forge new partnerships.
This year, a team of over 30 3DS colleagues from different parts of the company, including CATIA, SIMULAR, R&D, and NAM, will be attending the conference and participating in the technical programs. We will have 4 paper presentations in the technical tracks by our own MBSE experts:
A Pragmatic MBSE Approach of Nissan Powertrain Team to Minimizing Document-Based SE

In addition, Dassault Systèmes is a Platinum Sponsor for the event and planning a major marketing and customer engagement effort. Led by NAM Marketing, we will have a large booth in the very center of the exhibition hall and an experienced team of sales executives and MBSE experts to showcase a number of multi-Brand, integrated systems engineering solutions with a strong emphasis on challenges facing the automotive industry, as well as aerospace and defense.
With the Platinum sponsorship, 3DS will be highlighted throughout the conference, featured in the programs, virtual platform, social media, and corporate video and presentations. We will be giving 3 sponsor sessions, featuring the latest of 3DS solutions including CATIA Magic 2022x, 3DEXPERIENCE, and our MBSE vision and technology roadmap.
During the conference, we will also be hosting several targeted sales and customer engagement events, including an invitation-only reception for selective customers and a CATIA Magic CAB meeting addressing a set of product and support questions, as well as technical collaboration opportunities. CATIA Magic Customer Advisory Board (CAB), formerly No Magic CAB, consists of representatives from a group of large 3DS customers across several industries and the US government and includes names like Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrup Grumman, Airbus, Ford, JPL, and the US Navy.
