3DEXPERIENCE VS CoronaVirus : a testimony from the Rennes 1 University

StayHome 3DEXPERIENCE COVID

We are receiving positive feedbacks from teachers who are using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the Cloud and you can continue to teach remotly and have their students work on projects. You will find below a testimony from @EB who is managing the Learning Lab from the Rennes 1 University and teaches mechanical Engineering courses.

"The crisis we are all going through is shaking up the way we teach. Everyone, Students and teachers adapt as best as they can.
As users of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, we realize that ultimately nothing really changes for us. We are in fact not that much impacted. Students continue their projects without interruption and collaborate remotely. It is a good experience for them. They share their work in the form of a Dashboard and CAD model stored in WorkSpaces. They simply lack the live remarks from the classroom teacher.

The 3DEXPERIENCE platform for academia is a remarkably effective solution, including for those just starting out. Students of L2 (License 2) to whom 3DEXPERIENCE was presented for an hour before the crisis started find themselves alone at home to install and self-train on the platform with the tutorials 'Gateway to 3DX', 'PartDesign Essentials', 'Perform as Mechanical Designer'. ..Some are doing well and even very very well, others are sometimes facing difficulties, often for hardware problems (those who use a Mac or those who have PCs that are really too old). Unfortunately, we did not have time to organize the loan of workstations.

Some internships have been cancelled and will probably be replaced by activities on the platform, using for example the Dashboard of the 'Learning Hub Experience / Submarine' type and the resources of the 3DEXPERIENCE Edu Hub.

For now, this is only the beginning, the results are very positive since the students are progressing at home and have what it takes to take advantage of this different time. "
