This Highlight provides user the ability to add couplers between rebar layers or rebar split. Couplers are frequently used to avoid making overlapping the rebar (and save space and manual work) where the density of rebar is important.
Requirement origin
With the Rebar creation command, which was introduced in 3DEXPERIENCE R2018x, it is possible to create a rebar layer. There was a need to avoid the overlapping of the rebars and saving the space as this directly impacts the density of the rebar in project.
This function provides capability to add couplers between bar layers.
What is offered & how it serves
The rebar couplers is provided under Rebar Accessories command in Reinforcement tab.
User can choose object type from available two types:
- Fixed coupler: This coupler is linked to a configuration table.
- Adaptive coupler: This coupler adapts to the bar's geometry. This helps user to share the design with other designers even if the user is not having the manufacturer's bar diameters.
