Composites Engineering Mesh Creation Cloud CATIA Champion
The third session of the COE 2020 Discovery Composite Panel was about simulation. Another easy to follow example done by @EA, very clear, and with some observations.
For me, it is the first time when I'm doing something in SIMULIA so I hope you can understand why I like it so much.
One observation catches my attention "The assignment of plies and orientations to elements in a finite element mesh has historically been a very time-consuming activity which greatly streamlines within 3DEXPERIENCE". Indeed, for this model, for example, it took just a few seconds to update the Check Finite Element Model surfaces.
Creation and check for other elements are also fast in the cloud platform.
More detailed analysis such that the mesh is aligned with the constant-thickness regions and solid volume associated can be done also quite fast and easy
