Open standards SysML (system architecture) and Modelica (multiphysics simulation) integration overview and demo.
We show theory and practice of digital engineering in the great integration between system architecture and analysis actually working in the commercial application Catia Magic (Cameo) and Dymola.
We cover:
1. Import Modelica libraries to get compatible interface definitions.
2. Create system architecture based on requirements.
3. Generate Modelica template model with same structure as SysML architecture.
4. Extend template with behavior and add detailed sub-systems as needed.
5. Compile model into executable code for simulation.
6. Component sizing and behavior optimization within bounds of architecture.
7. Verify and validate system behavior and check that requirements are met.
This presentation and tutorial was recently delivered at INCOSE Western State Regional Conference. Short version of it you can see here.
