When will we be able to apply materials in Product Perception Experience down to individual surfaces?

I am currently testing 3DEXPERIENCE 2025X GA code and there still has been no change to how the materials are applied to geometry added to the Actor.

We would like to use this as a review tool for different product variants, trim variants (materials), animations to open doors, lids etc., but it is next to useless if you are limited to applying materials to only part level in the assembly (not even geometric sets).

For example, we have a mirror part containing the skull cap above the split line, the mirror glass, the indicator lens, lane assistance sensors, and body material for the lower part of the housing. I would like to load the part into PPX and assign four or five different materials to the part - which incidentally is Frozen in ENOVIA that prevents the part itself being modified.

I do not want to have to create dummy parts/products that split these up into separate parts and assign materials as this should be able to be done in one application, and would not be updated by the part lifecycle maturity..

All competitive products, such as 3DEXCITE (DeltaGen), VRED allow you to do this.

It has been requested since 2022x was released.
