3D Printed headphones anyone ?

3D printing is increasingly being used for quick iterative design, giving designers and engineers the power to think up new ideas and see them manufactured on demand.  Hong Kong-based manufacturer of audio equipment Fujikon has been in the business of making headsets and speakers for 30 years, but, only in 2011 did they decide to take advantage of rapid prototyping to give their 200-person R&D team an extra boost.

 Designed in green

Designed in Green Contest – Mega CityRegions Individual Mobility is open to first and second level university and master degrees students, and under 35 designers. The competition hinges on the design of a sustainable vehicle for people and freight transportation in the Mega City Regions. The selection committee, including  consultants, designers, automotive industry managers and journalists, will choose 10 designs. All will be presented in a panel session. The three best designs will modeled in scale and showcased during the event.
