We are in the age of transitions!
We are living an incredible upheaval, where balance, stability, and peace are at stake.
Transitions are happening, they are inevitable.
They are actually the only constant in our lives.
We have to accept the uncomfortable idea that we cannot predict the future, nor control everything around us, that the best we can do is to learn to manage our lives, our diverse modes of existence. Our society is a learning society: it knows that it must transform itself within a constrained period, imagine bearable lifestyles in environments that will be profoundly changed.
We are afraid of things that we do not know or we do not understand. We fear change because we do not know how change will affect us.
This Design Week wants to start a discussion about how we can change all this by design.
- Design is today an alternative avenue to regenerate business, technology and our lives
- Design cares about solving a problem, putting something useful and beautiful into the world, but more importantly, designers are natural leaders, about motivating people with very different thinking.
- Design is rooted in materiality and experimentation, act at the core of the unknown, and make the world a better place thriving to engage through broad and traverses collaboration and contributions.
We need to learn from the people and the place of the past and the legacies in which the explorations are anchored.

We are starting the Design Week on June 27 with the CATIA Creative Design & ICEM Roadshow to share with you some customer stories and trends for design and our solutions. Followed by a Designer's Dinner at our 3DS Campus in Vélizy.

On June 29 we continue the discussion by looking to the past and reflecting on the present, we will learn from the leaders: we have invited highly influential design figures and key experienced design people from different part of the world, starting with David Kusuma, the president of the (WDO), the WDO board members, as well as key French design leaders that will be sharing us a glimpse of leadership by design means and how they experienced it.
What it takes to imagine and generate spaces of experience, installation metaphors of the life lived and of the life to be invented.
