This Hackathon was a great opportunity to use our solutions for concept design in a new context: a short deadline to imagine and give life to an innovative concept for urban mobility. It was a unique chance to connect and share good moment through this challenging contest with our customers, coming from various countries.
In our Team D, we created a shareable capsule connected on a new air railway network in the city that allows to reduce traffic and pollution on the ground. We didn't only imagine the capsule, but also how this new network will connect stations and central station together, on the ground and up in the air. We were inspired by how nature find solutions to elevate, like mushroom, flowers and plants growing on trees to get more light. The seed dispersal was also a concept we wanted to explore.
With the various applications we had at disposal, we succeeded in this short amount of time in giving life to our concept, with 3D sketching, rapid clay modeling, and quick color&trim exploration, and were able to create the usage scenario of our product in context of the city.
At the end, we needed to tell the story around our concept, on how it will be used by people in their everyday life. Because we also imagine all the services and experiences behind our concept, from people transportation to delivery services, as package or food delivery. It is why we focused also on integrating human from CATIA Human Design in our scene to show how it will be used in a more human centric way : from the screen interface to book a capsule, to the final destination, showing also the journey using the capsule through the city.
