The Creativity Compass, a new way of thinking
Joichi Ito, director, MIT Media Lab at Dassault Systèmes posted a good article on LinkedIn explaining the Creativity Compass and the origins of the framework. "The key is to pull these quadrants as close together as possible. An interdisciplinary group would have a scientist, an artist, a designer, and an engineer working with each other. But this only reinforces the distinctions between these disciplines. And it’s much less effective than having people who use all four quadrants, as the project or problem requires." |

Paper Clouds by Tomás SaracenoHere is an installation by the artist Tomas Saraceno. Produced in 2009, Cloudy House was a multimedia installation featuring a mix of sculptures, video and photography.Through his work, the artist encouraged people to ask questions about contemporary society, its organization, and the possibilities of a healthy future. The project: the geometric forms has been made out of matte white paper. Using nylon wire, the pieces of art are suspended by groups from the ceiling. The result: an elaborated and organized system of futuristic weather that hung unnaturally throughout the interior space. |
