Hello.

I am YoungWook Kim working as a intern at the CATIA Creative Design Team.

I`m going to show you finished design which is adjusted CATIA Live Rendering on this final posting.

And now, I would briefly introduce you structure, design function, and concept.

Firstly, as you see the design, it is point that same shaped structures carry out different functions by symmetry.

It is certain that there were already many trans furniture but they need user`s specific controls. My design resolved this inconvenience by only structure and does not need any specific controls when the user want to change the functions. .And that functions are completely suitable for pregnant women and babies.

As I mentioned last time, people hesitate to purchase crib and pregnant chair because of product life, limited living space, and cost despite they are essentials.

And I realized those using time is interlock continuously.

Pregnancy period and another period that crib is needed for babies, it is not a long time but also not a short time.

And pregnancy is not one shot things so if there are another pregnancies, those product life can be revived. Also, even if there is no more pregnancy in user`s

family, this furniture can be multipurpose in anytime.

While I design, I mostly considered frame`s weight by user`s using conditions because I always

kept in mind that safety and providing high quality relaxation are most important.

Second one is the cost.

 I want to replace two furniture with one furniture and that price needed to lower than sum of two furniture.

So I minimallzed structure with maintain the safety.

Third one is interior.

Generally, pregnant chair and crib are totally formed with lumbers that is having warm mood.

In such cases, cost is raised and also hard to matched with overall interiors.

I wanted to resolve this problems by using metal materials on the frame and at the same time using the lumber materials at the spot where user`s body is directly

attached because there was necessity to maintain warm mood of M.O.M concept.

By this structure which is mixed materials, the product not only be familiar with human body as ever but also trendy and well matched with total home interior.  

Next one is detail view. 

I considered how to structure can be well connected with manufacture line on the top of just structure.

So I induced frame structure to be connected with symmetry structure as same length and regulated the centroid point.

In the structure design, most important things are relieving the shock in chair mode and opening and closing crib.

I mostly considered usability on this part because only this part needs user`s control.

In the overall view, there is no structure which is does not have symmetry structure. and this is for convenience of manufacture line.

Also, it is important that how to attach the concrete detail parts. and that parts are not completely materialized in modeling yet.

Please refer to picture for a brief modeling plan. 

In the beginning time, this structure was shape of vertical line. But I noticed that it is not efficient and adjusted design with considering safety and utility.

Next one is the simulation that is formulated while I design.

I substituted various condition for this one.

And even though there were no actual simulations yet, I additionally considered this parts.

Lastly, this scenes are various actual situations.
