Among many different new products and prototypes showcased during the last Canon Expo in Paris earlier this month, we'd like to have a focus on 3 of them
- 3D PrinterConcept
- The Versatile Collaboration System (VCS)
- The MREAL: the Mixed Reality headset
3D Printer Concept: from Rapid Prototyping to Rapid Manufacturing
"The first 3D Printer developed entirely in-house to make the production process quicker than before"
Additionally to its high speed capabilities, the 3D Printer offers a high flexibility in material choices:
Polyproprylene (PP) Polyethylene (PE) Polyoxymethylene (POM) Polyamide (PA) Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA)

The Versatile Collaboration System
The system combines a 3D scanner with a 3D mapping projector and motion gesture editing controls
"The VCS combines the functionality of a camera, a projector and a distance sensor, enabling users to scan and project 2D & 3D objects (3D mapping capability), but also to control the projected images in realtime using intuitive gestures".
This new solution seems to be positioned on the same usage than HP’s Sprout
