Automotive Concept Backlight using XGenerative Design

Dear Community,

here I want to share with you how I use XGenerative Design in the Internet Browser in Combination with the Native Client of the 3DExperience Platform to generate a Design Concept for an automotive backlight.

1. Step is to generate the base shape of your Design concept quickly in Imagine&Shape. This step is done in the native Client of the Platform (Image1).

2. Step is to open your light surface in XGenerative Design in the Browser. Now you can start to generate your parametric pattern (Image 2).

3. After publishing your data in XGenerative Design in the Browser you will see it instantly (after Global Refresh of your Scene) in your Native Client. Here you can still access most of the parameters in order to adjust the pattern to your needs in context with your overall design shape. In the last step you can assign materials in CATIA Live Rendering to your pattern - in this example a emissive red light, in order to experience your pattern in its full beauty (Image 3).

I hope this quick introduction was helpful. If somebody has more questions on this topic feel free to write a comment to this post. Best would be to directly tag me with @FR so I see it directly and can reply quickly.

Greetings,

Felix
